Erno Lazlo Skin Care

This article gives an overview of what Erno Lazlo skin care involves so that you can make a decision about whether it is the right approach for you.

Erno Lazlo was a skin care pioneer largely responsible for the general nature of the skin care products we use today. One of his earliest creations was a transparent cream that gave a subtle glow to the skin. His business first opened in 1927 in Budapest. In order to sell Erno Lazlo skin care products you must attend the company institute in New York City and be approved. Traditionally Erno Lazlo products were only made available to the rich and powerful and a recommendation was needed to obtain the service of the institute. This spirit is still reflected in the price of the products.

Erno Lazlo skin care products fall into six different categories: cleansing, controlling, moisturising, extra care, finishing and specials. The products in the 3 main categories of cleansing, controlling and moisturising work together to thoroughly clean, pH balance and protect the skin. The extra care category is for special skin conditions and the finishing category relates to foundations and powders. The 3 main categories account for 26 products in total but only 5 to seven basic products are used daily. The different products are tailored to your skin type. A clock scale is used to grade skin type from very dry (8.30am) extremely oily (3 pm). The Erno Lazlo skin care company also produces new anti-aging products based in the latest science and technology.

Lazlo put great emphasis on the use of water in his products and is quoted as saying "Water with the right kind of soap is the basis of every beauty routine" The basic Erno Lazlo skin care protocol consists of covering your face with an oil called Active pHelityl Oil, filling the sink with hot water and dipping a special soap into it. This water is splashed on the face 20 times and then, in the final part of the cleanse, warm rather than hot water without the soap is splashed on the face 10 times. This is followed by toning, moisturising and finishing.

In conclusion, Erno Lazlo skin care is one of the most well-established skin care systems on the market but it’s debatable whether its expensive products are really value for money.
